Going Viral? Be Careful What You Wish For
25,000+ impressions later… here’s what I’m really feeling.

One of my posts on LinkedIn blew up this week.
At the time of writing this:
→ 27,000+ impressions
→ 70+ comments
→ 200+ new connection requests
For me? That’s a lot.
And I’ll be real — it’s overwhelming AF.
When the attention hits, it’s easy to celebrate the dopamine rush.
But there’s a darker side too:
→ Who are all these new people?
→ Who’s legit, and who’s trying to sell me something?
→ Which conversations matter, and which ones will drain me?
Going viral isn’t just attention.
It’s a pile of new work: sorting, responding, filtering, prioritizing.
Yup, a double-edged sword. ⚔️
One side, the opportunity.
The other side, the noise.
The lesson?
Attention is cheap.
Clarity is priceless.
If you’re going to put yourself out there, get ready to protect your time, your boundaries, and your energy because “going viral” might feel like a win, but it can also bury you if you aren’t clear on what you want to do with all that attention.
