This oneβs coming at you on a Monday, not our usual Saturday. And maybe that little twist is just what you need to kickstart the week. π
Truth is, I missed Saturday as we were deep into putting the finishing touches on the newly expanded NJ Content Studio. More to come later, but itβs going to be an amazing place for creators, entrepreneurs, small business owners, and basically anyone wanting to create content.
So today, letβs talk about something brands too often overlook in their rush to βstick to the planββa bit of surprise and delight.
As brands, weβre wired to deliver consistency, but itβs those little moments of unexpected joy that keep people coming back for more.
Hereβs how you can build a βsurprise and delightβ strategy into your brandβs DNA:
1. Give More Than Expected
Every once in a while, go beyond the anticipated. Throw in a bonus product, exclusive tip, or personalized thank you. It doesnβt have to be big, but it should feel thoughtfulβa little something that says, βwe see you, we appreciate you.β
2. Personalize Like Itβs 2024
Use data to surprise customers with a detail only you would know. Maybe itβs a birthday treat or a quick βthanks for your 5th purchaseββpeople remember brands that remember them.
3. Stay Unpredictably Relevant
As your customersβ needs evolve, so should your brandβs ability to surprise. Pay attention to culture, to conversations, and show up with something fresh that resonates. Keep it real, keep it surprising, and keep it about them.
